About Victor Sanz
Victor Sanz has something in common with his early musical influences. He hails from Bakersfield, California, where good old boys like Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, and Dwight Yoakam originated. In fact, he has that Bakersfield sound, playing the Bakersfield circuit, playing country fairs and clubs, writing his own songs, and gigging with numerous country bands. His band, Prairie Thunder, even opened up for Collin Raye, Sammy Kershaw, Lee Roy Parnell, and Merle Haggard. But Victor wasn't yet ready for success.
After a few voice lessons, his break came when a friend gave his album to his father, Rusty Graham, the head of Gramac Records. Graham was so impressed with what he had heard on Victor's three-song demo that he wanted to sign and manage him. And Destination Unknown was born. ~ Maria Konicki Dinoia, Rovi
