Zach DuBois is a country music singer-songwriter born and raised in Elkhart, IN. As part of an entrepreneurship class during his senior year of college at the University of Notre Dame, DuBois developed a business model for a venture he planned to start after graduation - his own record label, Backstory Records. After graduating in 2011, the pre-med/Psychology major did just that, opting to begin a career as a touring singer-songwriter instead of going to medical school or graduate school. After over 4 years of touring, DuBois has played shows across much of the US, sharing the stage with the likes of Old Dominion, Josh Abbott Band, Randy Houser, Jerrod Niemann, Jack Ingram and many others along the way. DuBois recently made the move to Nashville, TN, honoring the pledge he made to himself after his college graduation - that he would not move to Nashville until he had established himself financially as a self-sustaining artist for at least 2 years. All the hard work has paid off, yielding a fiercely dedicated and loyal fan base. To date, DuBois has released 2 studio albums, both successfully funded by his fans through the crowd-funding platform PledgeMusic. In regards to his recent move to Nashville, DuBois had this to say, “I am a songwriter, first and foremost, so I am extremely excited about the incredible opportunities to continue to hone and improve my craft among some of the most creative and talented songwriters in the country, here in Nashville. "Work Harder" is DuBois' latest single - an everyman's anthem exalting the importance of hard work, perseverance, and dedication. The song, while touching on very universal themes, is very autobiographical in nature - a reflection on DuBois' self-driven, independent approach to his music career. The music video for "Work Harder" is an homage to family farms, which are the backbone of the ethos of rural Indiana, where DuBois was born and raised. It was filmed on 2 family farms outside of DuBois' hometown in Elkhart County, Indiana: Prairie Dairy (Goshen, IN) and Mybrook Farm (Middlebury, IN). Four generations of family farmers are featured in the video: Myron Oesch, Michael Oesch, Carl Stoltzfus, and Hudson Yoder (special thanks to both the Oesch and Stoltzfus families for their participation). The music video for "Work Harder" will premiere exclusively on CMT Music March 29th, 2016.
