Zach DuBois is a 25 year-old country music singer-songwriter born and raised in Elkhart, IN. As part of an entrepreneurship class during his senior year of college at the University of Notre Dame, DuBois developed a business model for a venture he planned to start after graduation - his own record label, Backstory Records. After graduating in 2011, the pre-med/Psychology major did just that, opting to begin a career as a touring singer-songwriter instead of going to medical school or graduate school. After over 2 and a half years of shows, DuBois has toured across much of the US, sharing the stage with the likes of Jerrod Niemann, Randy Houser, Dan+Shay, Parmalee, Old Dominion and Jack Ingram along the way. DuBois recently made the move to Nashville, TN, honoring the pledge he made to himself after his college graduation - that he would not move to Nashville until he had established himself financially as a self-sustaining artist for at least 2 years. All the hard work has paid off, yielding a fiercely dedicated and loyal fan base. To date, DuBois has released 2 studio albums, both successfully funded by his fans through the crowd-funding platform PledgeMusic. The crowds continue to grow at his shows, as well, and at the CD release show for his latest EP, “Back Porch,” over 900 people were in the audience in his hometown of Elkhart, IN. Add to this, shows in 2014 at some of the top venues in the Midwest - Joe’s in Chicago, IL, The Intersection in Grand Rapids, MI, and a slot at the Buckle Up Festival in Cincinnati, OH - and it is easy to see that momentum is certainly building for the young singer-songwriter. In regards to his recent move to Nashville, DuBois had this to say, “I am a songwriter, first and foremost, so I am extremely excited about the incredible opportunities to continue to hone and improve my craft among some of the most creative and talented songwriters in the country.”
