The Home Depot Humanitarian Award was created to recognize a country music artist or group who is committed to serving others with a generosity of spirit and dedication to helping build dreams. Country music fans feel that these artists deserve recognition for their humanitarian efforts.

Reba McEntire
Due to her tireless efforts on the behalf of several charities, Reba McEntire was chosen by country music fans to be the inaugural recipient of the Home Depot Humanitarian Award. She chose Atoka, Okla., in her home state, as the site of a brand new playground constructed by The Home Depot and KaBOOM!
Lonestar
Lonestar
In 2003, fans awarded Lonestar the Home Depot Humanitarian Award in recognition of their continuing efforts to help others. They continued to help others by building a brand new playground for the children of the Jackson Boys and Girls Club in Jackson, Tenn., an area devastated by tornadoes in 2003.
