41st Annual CMA Awards Summary

This year, there is no dominant winner with an even representation of traditional and new country. Brad Paisley receives his first male vocalist CMA award, and "Online" is named video of the year. Carrie Underwood collects her second female vocalist award and acquires the single of the year honor for "Before He Cheats." George Strait's It Just Comes Natural gets the album of the year honor, and his hit, "Give It Away," gives songwriters Bill Anderson, Buddy Cannon and Jamey Johnson the song of the year. Sugarland ousts Brooks & Dunn as the vocal duo of the year, and newcomer Taylor Swift accepts the Horizon Award. Rascal Flatts earn their fifth consecutive vocal group trophy, and "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" gives Tracy Lawrence, Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw the musical event award. The Country Music Hall of Fame welcomes broadcast personality Ralph Emery and singer-songwriters Vince Gill and Mel Tillis.
