Brad Paisley began performing professionally at the age of 13 in Wheeling, West Virginia's Jamboree USA. He released his debut album, Who Needs Pictures, in 1999. Since that time, the reigning CMA entertainer of the year has racked up 19 No. 1 hits at country radio, has sold more than 12 million albums and has won 14 CMA awards. While using his talents as a singer, songwriter and guitar virtuoso, Paisley's 2010 H2O tour was named No. 1 country tour for attendance by Pollstar. This Is Country Music, his ninth studio album, was released in 2011.

Five-time CMA Award winner Carrie Underwood is the first country singer to win American Idol. After doing so in 2005, she released her seven-time platinum debut album, Some Hearts. She continued her success with her sophomore album, Carnival Ride. Underwood co-wrote seven tracks on her third studio album, Play On, released in 2009. Additionally, she was named the top-selling country female touring artist in both 2008 and 2010. Underwood then made her acting debut in How I Met Your Mother in 2010. The multi-talented beauty co-starred in the inspirational film, Soul Surfer, in 2011 and began work on her fourth album.
