About the CMAs
Brad Paisley began performing professionally at the age of 13 in Wheeling, West Virginia's Jamboree USA. He released his debut album, Who Needs Pictures, in 1999. Since that time, he has taken home 15 CMAs and is No. 5 on the list of all-time top CMA Award winners. Paisley has racked up 19 No. 1 and his 2010 H2O tour was named the No. 1 country tour for attendance by Pollstar. In 2011, he released his first book, Diary of a Player: How My Musical Heroes Made a Guitar Man Out of Me, and his upcoming 10th studio album will be released on April 9, 2013.
Five-time CMA Award winner Carrie Underwood was the first country singer to win American Idol. After doing so in 2005, she released her seven-time platinum debut album, Some Hearts. She continued her success with her sophomore album, Carnival Ride. Underwood co-wrote seven tracks on her third studio album, Play On, released in 2009. Additionally, she was named the top-selling country female touring artist in both 2008 and 2010. Upon its release in May of 2012, Underwood's fourth album, Blown Away, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. "Good Girl," the first release from the album, became Underwood's 15th No. 1 single.
