CMT Music Awards -- You'll Thank Us in the Morning

Looking for answers? Get details on the show, how you can still score tickets and this year's host, Kid Rock.
Southern rocker Kid Rock will serve as the host of the 2010 CMT Music Awards. Guaranteed to be country music's biggest party of the year, the show will air live at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 9. Kid Rock will add performer to his list of duties for the evening, joining the line-up of previously announced performers that includes Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban, with additional performances to be announced.

The biggest stars in country music will party with their most devoted fans on June 9 when Nashville's only fan-voted award show takes the stage at the Bridgestone Arena.

As we prepare for the CMT Music Awards, we want to answer a few of your questions:

Don't have tickets? Sorry, all tickets are sold out. Thinking of buying when you get here? Be cautious if you decide to purchase tickets from an unauthorized source. We can only guarantee the tickets sold directly from Ticketmaster and the Bridgestone Arena box office.

Need a place to park? Nashville's Park It Downtown initiative will offer free parking and a $3 round-trip shuttle service to the Bridgestone Arena for your convenience. Simply park at LP Field in Lot D and pick up the shuttle which will run from 3 p.m. to midnight. More information can be found at

What time do I need to arrive at the Awards? Doors open at 5:45 p.m. Doors will close promptly at 6:30 p.m. at which time all guests must be in their seats. The live telecast begins at 7 p.m.

What if I arrive late? Please allow ample time for parking. Because this is a live television event, empty seats that appear on camera will be filled with seat fillers. Late arrivals will be held until a commercial break.

What should I wear? We encourage all audience members to dress as if you are going to a concert or a night strolling Broadway. The best colors for TV are solid, medium and dark colors. We encourage all audience members not to wear big prints or white, as these don't look good through the camera lens.

Why does my ticket say Mosh 3? If you have a ticket that says Mosh 3, this is the designation for a particular floor area. You can view a map on the Ticketmaster website. These tickets are standing room only -- no seating -- but you won't want to sit down and miss a second of the music.

I have a ticket that says Limited View. What does that mean? Due to the nature of live television productions, there may be unforeseen set pieces or production equipment which may cause part of your view to be obstructed.

How can I attend the Red Carpet? If you purchased a $99 ticket from Ticketmaster, you can obtain a wristband from the Bridgestone Arena box office on June 9. This seating is bleacher seating. All red carpet ticket holders must be in place no later than 4 p.m. As showtime grows closer, you will be encouraged to move inside to take your seat.

PLEASE NOTE: Tickets cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

CMT Music Awards fans are an important part of the energy of the show. We need your enthusiasm, whistles and cheers, so please remain in your seat while we are broadcasting the show. Besides, if you leave your seat, you never know what you may miss.

Tickets to the 2010 CMT Music Awards went on sale May 2 and sold out on the same day. If you can't make it to the live show, be sure to tune in to CMT or on June 9 at 8/7 PM ET/PT.

CMT turns the fate of the 2010 CMT Music Awards over to the fans as it announces finalists and opens up voting for country music's only fan-voted awards show. Beginning April 5, fans can vote for their favorite videos to determine the final nominees for CMT's ninth annual awards show. The 2010 CMT Music Awards show premieres live from Nashville on June 9 at 8 p.m. ET.

The first round of voting ran from April 5 through May 3 where fans selected from the top eight nominees in each of the nine categories. Second round voting kicked off May 11 and ends June 8 and consists of the top nominees from the previous round.

Videos that debuted on CMT between Feb. 24, 2009, and March 1, 2010, are eligible for the 2010 CMT Music Awards, and finalists have been determined by a blue-ribbon panel that includes noted country music journalists, as well as music industry and CMT executives.
