Q.	What does CMT stand for?
A.	CMT is simply an acronym for "Country Music Television."
Q.	Where can I find an explanation of the ratings shown before my favorite TV show?
A.	A detailed explanation about TV ratings can be found at www.tvguidelines.org
Q.	How does CMT select the Top Twenty Countdown list?
A.	The Top Twenty Countdown videos are selected by using a variety of resources including Billboard charts, video sales, CD sales, singles sales, etc. The results are weighed together to determine the top 20 videos. Fan voting is not used as a resource in the process for this particular show.
Q.	I'm trying to remember a song, video or artist that I liked. Can you help me?
A.	If you heard the song on the radio, try contacting that station to see if they can tell you what the song was. CMT.com has message boards just for people who are trying to figure out the name of a song, video or artist. You can post your question and see if other country music fans can help you find the answer. If you're still not having any luck, try doing a search on the Internet using the song title or phrases that you remember.
Q.	How can I get my cable provider to carry CMT?
A.	If your cable company does not offer CMT, you should contact your local cable provider requesting that the channel be carried full time.
Q.	Is CMT the same in the United States and Canada?
A.	No, the two channels are programmed independently. The CMT Schedule you see on CMT.com will not match what you see on CMT Canada. CMT.com is not affiliated with CMT Canada, so if you have questions related to CMT Canada, please go to its Web site at www.cmt.ca.
Q.	Is CMT available by satellite outside of the U.S?
A.	No. The "footprint" for CMT's satellite only covers North America, plus it is a scrambled signal requiring a decoder. Viewers on the other side of the planet can't pick up our signal even if they had the necessary equipment.
Q.	Will CMT Europe or CMT Australia return?
A.	No, the international version of CMT was owned and operated by another company. That company changed its name to Music Country and is no longer the name CMT.
Q.	Where can I find a listing of CMT and CMT.com employment opportunities?
A.	You can get all job information for CMT and CMT.com by calling our job line at 1-615-335-8350 or visiting Viacom's employment Web site at http://www.mtvncareers.com. You can send applications to employment@cmt.com. Due to the volume of applications and resumes that we receive, MTV Networks Human Resources will only accept resumes for positions that are currently open. Q.	How can I find out about internships with CMT or CMT.com?
A.	You can get a list of available internships at http://www.nashvillejobslink.com. For internships with CMT, you need to e-mail employment@cmt.com with the following information: Your program requirements, information about yourself, the hours and days you can work per week, the begin and end dates you would be available to work, your resume showing your current major, college and area of study, and if you are looking for a paid or for credit only internship. (Unless otherwise noted, all internships are for-credit only.)

A.	CMT works with talent agents throughout the country informing them of the type of person we are looking for.

A.	We try to follow our posted schedule, but sometimes last minute changes are necessary.
Q.	Why does CMT stop airing videos?
A.	In order for CMT to add new videos, older videos can't be played as often.
Q.	Can I buy CMT merchandise?
A.	No, CMT merchandise is not currently available.
Q.	Can you tell me when a show will premiere or be repeated on CMT?
A.	Check the CMT Schedule for air times and dates, or check that show's individual show page for more information.
Q.	Are CMT series and specials available for sale on video?
A.	No, CMT programming is not available for sale. Keep an eye on the On CMT area to see if the program will re-air.
Q.	When is the CMT Top 20 list updated?
A.	The new list appears online each Wednesday.
