Q.	Why didn't I receive a personal response to an e-mail I sent to CMT.com?
A.	Each and every e-mail received is read. While many letter writers get a personal response from a CMT.com staff member, please know that due to the very large number of letters we receive, we cannot guarantee a response in every case.
Q.	What are message boards?
A.	Message boards are a place where you can have conversations with other users over an extended period of time. As opposed to chats, where you can "talk" in real time, message boards allow you to post a comment for others to read at their convenience and then reply.
Q.	How do I read a message?
A.	To open a message, click the underlined text of the topic. All the other messages listed below are replies to that message.
Q.	Can I change the way I view messages?
A.	You can view messages in either a threaded or linear view. Just click "Change to linear view" or "Change to threaded view".
Q.	What does threaded vs. linear mean?
A.	When you first open the message boards, the messages will be threaded. This shows the first message from the person who created that particular topic and then lists the headlines of those who replied. Click on each headline to read the responding messages. You may switch between threaded and linear to get a different view of the boards. Linear boards will show not only the message of the person who started the topic but also the entire messages of those who replied.
Q.	How do I post a message?
A.	To post a message to the board, you must be a registered CMT.com user. Click on the "Start a New Topic" button. Type in a title for your message. Check the "Notify me by e-mail when someone replies." box if you want to receive replies to your e-mail account. Type in the message. Click on the "Post Now" button located at the bottom of the message text box. Don't forget to check back periodically for new posts if you haven't asked to be notified of responses by e-mail.
Q.	How do I reply to messages already posted?
A.	Once you've read a message of interest, do the following to post a reply: Click on the message subject or title. Click on "Post a reply" link located below the message text. Type in a subject for your reply if you would like to change the original message subject. Type in your reply. Check the "Notify me by e-mail when someone replies." box if you want to receive replies to your e-mail account. Click on the "Post Now" button located at the bottom of the reply text box.
Q.	Can I delete or edit my messages?
A.	You cannot edit or remove your message posts once you hit the "Post Now" button. If you would like to remove one of your posts, e-mail the message board moderator at interact@CMT.com.
Q.	Why did my post get deleted?
A.	Posts are deleted when they do not abide by our Board Rules. Also, if you replied to someone's post and their post gets deleted, all responding posts in that thread are deleted along with it.
Q.	How can I report abuse on the boards?
A.	Report abuse by clicking the "Report abuse" button on the offending message. If you notice a particular user with repeated offensive messages, you can report them to the message board moderator by e-mailing interact@CMT.com. If you have any questions about what is acceptable on the boards, just click on Board Rules.
