  No, it is absolutely free to join CMT.com. Just go to our Join page. Your registration is also valid for MTV.com and VH1.com.

  How do I register to become a CMT.com member?

  Register to join CMT.com here. You can also manage your CMT.com experience in the user preferences section. You will have to choose a Display Name and password, as well as provide your e-mail address and date of birth. You also have the option of giving us your ZIP code.

  Are there any rules for creating a Display Name and password?
• A. 
  Your Display Name must have between 4-16 characters and cannot have any spaces or special characters. Your password is case sensitive and should have at least four (4) characters.

  Why do you need my e-mail address?

  CMT.com will not sell your information to a company that'll jam your e-mail with spam and junk. We only use your information internally and will never hand it over to someone else without your permission. We want your e-mail address so we can make your CMT.com experience more enjoyable.

  We must have your birth date. It's the law! As of April 21, 2000, CMT.com can no longer accept registrations from children under the age of 13 due to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Enter your e-mail address and you will receive a message with your Display Name and password. Please note: You must use the same e-mail address that you entered when you registered. If you have changed e-mail addresses since then, you will need to re-register with a different Display Name and password.
