1. Promotion Period: CMT's "Got Me In With the Band" Contest (the "Contest") commences at 12:00 a.m. (CST) on February 2, 2004 and ends at 11:59 pm (CST) on February 29, 2004.

2. To Enter: Log on to www.cmt.com for details. Follow instructions to download and print the official Contest application (the "Application"). Complete all parts of the Application and return, along with the required submission materials, to the address noted below. Submissions must adhere to the specifications referred to below.

3. Submission Requirements: Submissions for the Contest (each a "Submission") must consist of an original video (submitted in ½" VHS format), no longer than five (5) minutes in length, of the Entrant explaining why they would like to "Get in with the Band". Videotapes must also be labeled with Entrant's full legal name, age, address, email address and phone number where he or she can be reached during regular business hours [9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (CST)]. Submissions must also contain original copies of the completed MTVN release forms supplied in the Application. All Submissions become the property of MTV Networks, a division of Viacom International Inc. ("MTVN"). All mail-in Submissions must postmarked by February 29, 2004 and be received by 11:59 p.m. (CST) on March 5, 2004 at the following address:



Please allow enough time for on-time delivery. Incomplete and/or late Submissions will be disqualified. If you would like confirmation that your Submission has been received, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope with a 3"x5" card in your Submission package stating, "Your submission has been received for CMT's "Got Me In With The Band" Contest." Otherwise, Entrants may only be contacted if selected as the Grand Prize Winner as described below.

Completed Submissions which are created and received within the above-mentioned guidelines shall collectively be referred to herein as the "Eligible Entries". Submissions that are not original work of the Entrant and/or illegible or incomplete Application forms will not be accepted. MTVN reserves the right to reject any Submissions that it deems, in its sole discretion, to violate any of the policies of the MTV Networks Standards and Practices Guidelines.

No responsibility is assumed for incorrect or inaccurate entry information or by any human error which may occur in the processing of entries to this Contest. MTVN is not responsible for any problems or delays of any mail carrier or shipping company, malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, or any combination thereof. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of MTVN which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest or for any reason MTVN deems it necessary, MTVN reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, delay or suspend the Contest, or any portion thereof, due to any reason of a technical, creative or other nature. Should MTVN choose to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest or portion(s) thereof, Entrants may be disqualified without any further obligation of MTVN. Submissions and/or Eligible Entries that have been tampered with or altered are void. All entries become the property of MTVN and will not be returned. Only one (1) entry per Entrant.

4. Winner Selection: Based on the judging criteria set forth below, CMT will choose (1) Submission from among all of the Eligible Entries received. The Grand Prize Winner will be selected on or before March 15, 2004.

5. Winner Notification: The Grand Prize Winner (The "Winner") will be notified by phone and/or email. If any potential Grand Prize Winner is unreachable during the forty-eight (48) hours in which he or she is contacted (no messages will be left on answering machines) or does not comply with the Contest rules and regulations, an alternate Grand Prize Winner may be selected from all remaining Eligible Entries. MTVN's decisions are final on all matters relating to this Contest. The specifics of all elements of any prize in the Contest shall be solely determined by MTVN. Some restrictions may apply. No substitutions, transfers of the prize package permitted, except by MTVN. The Grand Prize Winner and the guest must sign an affidavit of eligibility and release of CMT, MTV Networks, Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS), Viacom International Inc., Cendant Corporation, Super 8 Motels, Inc. and Long John Silver's, Inc. and its affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action for personal injury and/or damage, theft, or loss suffered in connection with this promotion or the use or acceptance of any prize or any portion thereof to be eligible for the prizes; and (b) where permitted, a promotional release granting the right to use his or her name and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation; entry into this Contest constitutes the Winner's agreement to sign such release. The Winner must also complete all legal documents and return them to CMT within three (3) working days after receipt of such documents. Noncompliance will result in disqualification of the Winner and an alternate winner may be selected from among all remaining eligible entries, at CMT's sole discretion. The receipt by any Winner of any of the prize components of this Contest is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state and local laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY ANY WINNER (AT CMT's SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN SUCH WINNER'S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF CMT's "Got Me In With The Band" Contest AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

6. Prizing: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive a prize package (the "Grand Prize") consisting of:

• Roundtrip coach class air transportation for the Grand Prize Winner and one (1) guest from a major airport served nearest the winner's residence (at MTVN's discretion) to the taping location of "Got Me in with the Band"; (MTVN reserves the right to substitute ground transportation for air transportation if the Grand Prize Winner resides within 150 miles of taping location); and
• Airport/Hotel transfers; and
• Two (2) Night hotel accommodations for the Grand Prize Winner and (1) guest (one room, two person occupancy, room and tax only; meals, telephone calls and other incidentals not included); and
• Two (2) tickets to the taping of CMT's "Got Me In With The Band"; and
• $250.00 (two hundred-fifty dollars) spending money.

The estimated retail value of the Grand Prize is $2,500.00. The actual retail value of this Contest depends on current existing market conditions at time of prize fulfillment. Some restrictions may apply.

The specifics of all elements of any prize in the Contest shall be solely determined by CMT. Some restrictions may apply. All Federal, state and local taxes, and insurance costs, if any, related to the prize are the responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner. Arrangements for the fulfillment of prizes will be made by CMT. The Grand Prize will be scheduled to be fulfilled between March 12, 2004 and April 30, 2004.

7. Eligibility: Contest is open to www.CMT.com users who are legal residents of the U.S., who are 21 years of age or older at time of entry. Grand Prize Winner and the guest must be 21 years or older at time of prize fulfillment. The Grand Prize Winner and guest are subject to proving eligibility, including verification of social security number. If any Winner cannot furnish verifiable and valid proof of age within three (3) working days after receipt of such legal documents, an alternate winner may be chosen from among all remaining eligible entries received, at MTVN's sole discretion. Contest is not open to employees and their immediate families of CMT: Country Music Television, MTV Networks, Viacom International Inc., Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS), Cendant Corporation, Super 8 Motels, Inc., Long John Silver's, Inc., affiliated companies and subsidiaries as well as any person who has won an MTV Networks and/or CMT: Country Music Television national contest or sweepstakes in the preceding 12 month period. Winner is subject to proving eligibility. VOID IN ALASKA AND HAWAII AND WHEREVER PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. All entries become the property of MTVN. Additional restrictions may apply.

8. Judging Criteria: Submissions will be judged based on: Entrant personality (60%); and originality and creativity (40%).

9. All interpretations of the rules and decisions by MTVN are final. MTVN reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds or believes to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the game; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, MTVN AND SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT/INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. THE NEW YORK COURTS (STATE AND FEDERAL) SHALL HAVE SOLE JURISDICTION OF ANY CONTROVERSIES REGARDING THE CONTEST AND THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK SHALL GOVERN THE CONTEST. EACH ENTRANT WAIVES ANY AND ALL OBJECTIONS TO JURISDICTION AND VENUE IN THESE COURTS AND HEREBY SUBMITS TO THE JURISDICTION OF THOSE COURTS.

10. Winner agrees that CMT: Country Music Television, MTV Networks, Viacom International Inc., Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS), Cendant Corporation, Super 8 Motels, Inc, Long John Silver's, Inc., their sponsors, subsidiaries, affiliates, parent and related companies and employees shall have no liability in connection with acceptance or use of any of the prizes awarded herein or while or in connection with preparing for, participating and/or traveling to any Contest and/or Program related activity.

13. Confidentiality: Information provided by you to participate in this promotion is subject to the cmt.com privacy policy.

14. By participating in this Sweepstakes, winners agree to have their name and place of residence posted on-line on the CMT.com Winner List.
