20th Annual CMA Awards Summary

Helmed by friends Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson, the 20th annual CMA Awards show includes several memorable collaborations. Christian music singer Amy Grant joins Ricky Skaggs for "Walking in Jerusalem." Alabama's "Deep River Woman" gets some added soul from R&B star Lionel Richie. Trio singers Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton and Linda Ronstadt perform "Dear Companion" and Anita Pointer teams up with Earl Thomas Conley for "Too Many Times." Reba McEntire wins both the entertainer and female vocalist awards. Dan Seals and Marie Osmond are named duo of the year, and newcomer Randy Travis takes home the Horizon Award. Travis' hit "On the Other Hand" wins song of the year for writers Paul Overstreet and Don Schlitz. George Strait and the Judds continue to win in the male vocalist and group of the year categories. George Jones' reflective "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes" is awarded the music video of the year. Comedian Benjamin F. Ford and legendary songplugger Wesley H. Rose are inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
