Country Stars Chely Wright and Chris Cagle to Announce Final Nominees for CMT Flameworthy Video Music Awards
May 14 Press Conference to Reveal Flameworthy Finalists

Two of country's hottest stars are set to announce the finalists for this year's coolest award show when they host a press conference for the CMT Flameworthy Video Music Awards on Tuesday, May 14 from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. CT at the Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 Club in Nashville. MCA Records recording artist and first round Flameworthy nominee Chely Wright, who currently holds the title of one of People Magazine's "Most Beautiful People of 2002" and Capitol Records' first-round Flameworthy nominee Chris Cagle, whose album Play It Loud was just certified gold, will host the event.

Over 1.2 million votes have been cast by fans at CMT.com to narrow the field from 10 first round nominees to five finalists in each category since Flameworthy voting began on April 16. Once Wright and Cagle announce the final five nominees in each of the categories on Tuesday, May 14, fans will again be able to vote online at CMT.com through Sunday, June 9 to determine the Flameworthy winners in 11 of 12 categories. Final nominees for Flameworthy video of the year will be announced at the beginning of the CMT Flameworthy Video Music Awards on Wednesday, June 12 at 9 p.m. ET on CMT. Voting for the final category will be open on CMT.com throughout the show, with the winner being announced at the conclusion of the evening.

Country music's only fan-voted award show, the CMT Flameworthy Video Music Awards, gives fans the opportunity to vote for their favorite music videos in 12 viewer-voted categories. This premiere CMT event is an unofficial kickoff to the 31st Country Music Fan Fair, the world's biggest country music festival where fans from all over the globe come to meet and greet their favorite country music stars. This event will be a must-see and do for fans wishing to see some of their favorite celebrities appear and perform on one of the year's most anticipated and exciting awards shows.

Tickets for the CMT Flameworthy Video Music Awards are on sale now on CMT.com or through Ticketmaster at 615-255-9600 or www.ticketmaster.com. In Nashville, tickets will be available at all Ticketmaster locations and at the Gaylord Entertainment Center box office. Tickets will be priced at $25, $50, $75 and $100.
