Lee Ann Womack Hits the Road

Singer Enjoying Her Three ACM Trophies

Hot on the heels of her triumphant Academy of Country Awards performance and winning three ACM three awards, Lee Ann Womack hits the road again on Saturday (May 12).

She will rejoin the George Strait Country Music Festival in Kansas City, Mo., at Arrowhead Stadium, continuing with Strait through a June 10 concert at Texas Stadium in Dallas. Womack also will do a couple of dates on her own, June 2-3, in Mansfield, Mass., and Providence, R.I.

After co-hosting the TNN & CMT Country Weekly Music Awards with Terry Bradshaw on June 13 in Nashville, Womack starts a round of 55 engagements June 15 in Reno, Nev., at the Reno Rodeo Arena. She'll play state and county fairs, country music festivals, sheds and casinos before winding up in Dallas, Texas, on Oct. 28 at the American Airlines Center.

At the ACM Awards show Wednesday (May 9), Womack won awards for song, single and vocal event of the year, all for her song "I Hope You Dance."

She has six nominations in fan voting for the TNN & CMT Country Weekly Music Awards, and her record company, MCA, will honor her with a party Thursday (May 17) in Nashville for achieving double-platinum status (2 million shipped) with her album I Hope You Dance.

Womack also will host the two-hour Mother's Day Diaries special on CMT. Her daughters Aubrie and Anna are featured in her No. 1 CMT video, "I Hope You Dance." In addition, Womack will reveal the results of the first-ever Mother's Day Internet poll on the show, to be telecast Sunday (May 13) at noon and 6 p.m. ET.
