Country Music Hall of Fame member Loretta Lynn is battling pneumonia at a hospital near her home in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. The veteran singer was admitted Tuesday (March 20), just five days after starring in an episode of A&E Live by Request, a cable TV concert series. Lynn, who seemed in fine form during the broadcast, was experiencing some ear problems the night of the show, according to her spokeswoman. The weekend after the TV broadcast, the singer felt some discomfort in her lungs and was admitted to the hospital for treatment. No word when she’ll be released, but she is in “good condition,” according to her rep. Lynn’s illness has forced her to cancel appearances on “Tribute to Johnny Russell”, a benefit concert set for Thursday (March 22), and the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday (March 24).
