Rascal Flatts to Perform at Backstreet Boys Benefit

Rascal Flatts will perform Friday (June 1) at Lupus 2001, a concert staged at Universal City Walk in Orlando, Fla. The second annual benefit concert is the brainchild of Backstreet Boys member Howie Dorough, whose sister, Caroline, died from lupus in 1998. Rascal Flatts will join an all-star pop lineup that includes Backstreet Boys A.J. McLean and Nick Carter, as well as Aaron Carter, the Pointer Sisters, Jon Secada, the Monkees, Carole King, Deborah Gibson and others. Money raised from the show will benefit the Dorough Lupus Memorial Foundation, which funds medical research and provides financial assistance for those suffering from the disease. 05/31/01
