The Dixie Chicks, Emmylou Harris and Nashville-based singer-songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman will be part of “Women Rock! Girls & Guitars,” a breast cancer awareness concert. Set for Oct. 18 at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles, the concert will be taped for broadcast at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) Oct. 26 on the LIFETIME cable channel. Joining the Chicks, Harris and Chapman (whose writing credits include Faith Hill's “This Kiss”) will be India.Arie, Pat Benatar, Mary J. Blige, Nelly Furtado and Shea Seger. Allison Janney of The West Wing will host. The concert will not be open to the public, but radio stations will give away a limited number of tickets in promotions, a spokeswoman tells country.com. Details of the promotions have not been announced. Wynonna and Amy Grant were part of last year’s event, along with Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge and others. 08/14/01
