Americana Conference Postponed; Benefit Set for Sept. 14

The roots-oriented Americana Music Association (AMA) has postponed its annual conference, scheduled for Thursday and Friday (Sept. 14-15) in Nashville. Rodney Crowell was to deliver the keynote address, and dozens of other roots and alternative country artists were to participate in showcases and panel discussions. The AMA will sponsor a benefit concert for the American Red Cross Friday night (Sept. 14) at Nashville’s Exit/In. Participating artists will be announced as they are confirmed. 09/12/01
