Stone Rumors Are False

Rumors that Doug Stone was aboard one of Tuesday’s (Sept. 11) hijacked airliners are untrue, a spokeswoman confirms. The country singer is safe at home and did not travel on Tuesday. Stone’s management received numerous calls after a nationally televised report may have mentioned Stone’s name or a similar name as one of the victims of the attacks. “I feel very blessed to have been at home with my wife and children when I heard the news of this overwhelming American tragedy,” Stone said in a release. “My family and I have been praying for the victims and their families since we learned of the disaster.” 09/12/01
