Americana Conference Rescheduled; Benefit Set

The roots-oriented Americana Music Association (AMA) has rescheduled its annual conference for Nov. 2-3 at the Hilton Suites in Nashville. The conference originally was to take place Friday and Saturday (Sept. 14-15). Rodney Crowell was to deliver the keynote address, and dozens of other roots and alternative country artists were to participate in showcases and panel discussions. The revised itinerary will be announced next week. The AMA will sponsor a benefit concert for the American Red Cross at 9 p.m. CT Friday (Sept. 14) at the Exit/In in Nashville. Allison Moorer, Lonesome Bob, Greg Trooper and Phil Lee have been confirmed. Donations of $10 or more are suggested. 09/13/01
