Hank Jr. Cuts ‘America Will Survive’

Hank Williams Jr. was scheduled on Wednesday (Oct. 31) to record “America Will Survive,” the re-worked edition of his classic, “A Country Boy Can Survive,” in a Nashville studio. He performed the song first on Oct. 21 as part of the Country Freedom Concert on CMT. Williams will offer the new recording as a bonus track on his next CD, The Almeria Club & Other Select Venues, to be released in January. Country radio stations are playing an MP3 version of Williams’ live performance. It debuted at No. 55 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. 10/31/01
