Garth Brooks: Coast to Coast Live, a series of three one-hour concert specials with special guests, will air on CBS on consecutive Wednesday nights beginning Nov. 14.
Each of the specials will join Brooks at a live concert already in progress. The first is set for The Forum in Los Angles. On Nov. 21, Brooks will board the USS Enterprise in Norfolk, Va., and perform for the aircraft carrier’s crew returning from the Middle East for Thanksgiving. The site of the final show on Nov. 28 has not been announced.
“I announced last year that I wouldn’t be touring again,” Brooks said in a statement. “CBS has given me an opportunity to take the music to the people in a new way, to have the fun of performing it live and do it in such a way that I don’t have to be away from home for long periods of time. It’s going to be fun.”
The specials will come on the heels of the Nov. 13 release of Scarecrow, Brooks’ first studio album in four years. The shows will feature a mix of new material and past hits. The country superstar will welcome a different group of guest stars for each date, though none of the guests have been announced.
All three specials will air at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
