Grand Ole Opry stars Riders in the Sky were named entertainer of the year Thursday night (Nov. 8) at the Western Music Association Awards in Tucson, Ariz. Sons of the San Joaquin were named traditional group of the year. Their album, Sing One for the Cowboy, was honored as album of the year, and the title track was song of the year. The awards show was part of the 13th annual International Western Music Festival. 11/09/01
