Bluegrass Benefit for Josh Graves

Country Music Hall of Fame member Earl Scruggs will be part of “Jerry Douglas and Friends,” a bluegrass summit, Monday (Nov. 12) at the Gibson Bluegrass Showcase in Nashville’s Opry Mills. Joining Scruggs will be The Whites, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Blue Highway and organizer Douglas, to benefit Dobro great Josh Graves, whose years with Flatt & Scruggs established the Dobro as a seminal bluegrass instrument. “Uncle Josh” underwent amputation of a leg last spring and has recently undergone vein grafts to save his remaining leg. The benefit will help with medical expenses. Tickets are $30 from Ticketmaster outlets. 11/09/01
