Crystal Gayle will commence her 10-city Christmas tour Dec. 6 with a concert at the Dunn Center for Performing Arts at North Carolina Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount, N.C. This will be her fifth annual holiday tour.
Gayle will be backed by a six-piece band and her sister, Peggy Sue, on harmony vocals. While a local children’s choir will open for Gayle in Rocky Mount, she will otherwise perform her two-hour shows without using an opening act, says her manager, Bill Gatzimos.
Gayle’s other dates and venues are Dec. 7, Givens Performance Center, Pembroke State University, Pembroke, N.C.; Dec. 8, Newberry Opera House, Newberry, S.C.; Dec. 10, Philharmonic Center for the Arts, Naples, Fla.; Dec. 11, Macon Centroplex, Macon, Ga.; Dec. 14, Community Theatre, Morristown, N.J.; Dec. 15, CSI Center, Staten Island, N.Y.; Dec. 18, Whitaker Center, Harrisburg, Pa.; Dec. 19, Chesapeake Center, Brooklyn Park, Md.; and Dec. 20, two shows — 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. — at the American Theatre, Hampton, Va.
The singer will resume her regular tour schedule Jan. 11 in Cypress, Texas.
