McGraw, Chesney and Keith Are 'Billboard' Finalists
Tim McGraw is a Billboard Music Awards finalist in four categories. He competes for male albums artist of the year, country artist of the year, male country artist of the year and country album of the year, for his Greatest Hits collection.
His wife, Faith Hill, competes against McGraw for country album of the year. Her Breathe qualifies for the honor.
McGraw will sing “Angel Boy” (not “Angry All the Time” as originally announced) on the 2001 Billboard Music Awards, airing live from Las Vegas' MGM Grand Arena at 8 p.m. ET next Tuesday (Dec. 4) on Fox television.
Kenny Chesney and Toby Keith each are finalists in three categories. Awards are based on Billboard’s year-end charts. Winners are determined by record sales and radio airplay.
