New Alan Jackson CD Coming

Alan Jackson will release a new album, as yet untitled, on Jan. 15. The set gets a running start from the first single, “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning),” the Sept. 11-inspired song Jackson played Nov. 7 on the Country Music Association Awards. The song was at No. 12 in its second week on the Billboard country singles chart dated Dec. 1. Keith Stegall is producer for the new album. Nine of the 12 tracks were written or co-written by Jackson. Jackson’s current CD, When Somebody Loves You, came out Nov. 7, 2000, and was his 10th release. 11/28/01
