Skaggs/Chieftains Collaboration Appears on Anniversary Set

Ricky Skaggs appears on The Wide World Over, an album celebrating The Chieftains’ 40th anniversary. Skaggs’ collaboration with the group on the traditional fiddle tune “Cotton-Eyed Joe” also appeared on the group’s 1992 release, Another Country. Skaggs is the only country artist on the anniversary album, which comes out March 5. Three newly recorded tracks pair the group with Ziggy Marley, with Art Garfunkel and Diana Krall and with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. 02/05/02
