Carson Goes Home

Jeff Carson was released Saturday (Feb. 9) from Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was treated for a fracture of his sixth vertebra. Carson injured his back Thursday (Feb. 7) in a snow sledding accident at his home. His spinal cord was not damaged, he suffered no paralysis and surgery will not be necessary. Carson is resting comfortably at home, outfitted with a turtle brace, a spokeswoman tells CMT.com. He will be in the brace from six to 12 weeks, his manager says. 02/11/02
