Lee Ann Womack Goes Caroling in May

After undertaking a holiday tour last year with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Lee Ann Womack hopes to begin recording a Christmas album in May, her record label confirms. The reigning CMA female vocalist of the year is choosing songs now for the yuletide sessions. Womack also has plans to release a new album in August, tentatively titled Something Worth Leaving Behind, and she is a contender for top female vocalist at the Academy of Country Music Awards May 22 in Los Angeles. 04/11/02
