IBMA Moving to Nashville

The International Bluegrass Music Association will move its staff and headquarters from Owensboro, Ky., to Nashville, Tenn., in early 2003. IBMA chief Dan Hays says his staff is excited about the move. “We’re confident it will increase our contact with members … being part of the entertainment business scene in Nashville will be of real value to our members everywhere.” The International Bluegrass Music Museum, which reopened April 11 in Owensboro, is a separate non-profit institution. It will remain in Owensboro and will continue to house the IBMA’s Bluegrass Hall of Honor. 04/29/02
