Talking about his latest hit “I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishing Song)” backstage at the CMT Flameworthy Video Music Awards, Brad Paisley offered his theory on why fans are hooked. “I think the fish has hit a chord with country folk, especially people who like to fish,” he said with a smile. “More than that, women have surprised me the most, because I thought we’d offend a few, but I was prepared to do that. But it seems like we’re not. It seems like they look at us like the big apes that we are, in the song. It’s a way to say, ‘OK, we’re guys, we have flaws, we have obsessions.
