Strait, Chicks Burning Up the Singles Chart

George Strait dethrones Alan Jackson, and the Dixie Chicks continue to race up the country singles chart this week. Strait's "Living and Living Well" knocks Jackson's "Drive (For Daddy Gene)" down to No. 3. The Chicks' new single "Long Time Gone," jumps to No. 18 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart in its third week of release.

Brad Paisley's "I'm Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin' Song)" climbs to No. 2, and Emerson Drive's "I Should Be Sleeping" ascends to No. 4, its highest chart position to date. Lonestar's "Not a Day Goes By" moves up a notch to No. 5.

Rounding out the Top 10 are Gary Allan's "The One," Steve Azar's "I Don't Have to Be Me ('Til Monday)," Carolyn Dawn Johnson's "I Don't Want You to Go," Brooks & Dunn's "My Heart Is Lost to You" and Kenny Chesney's "The Good Stuff."

Singles debuting this week are James Otto's "The Ball" at No. 57 and Tommy Shane Steiner's "Tell Me Where It Hurts" at No. 60.

On Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, Chesney's No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems holds its No. 1 spot for the seventh straight week, and the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack remains at No. 2. Jackson's Drive stays at No. 3, Paisley's Part II holds at No. 4 and Brooks & Dunn's Steers & Stripes" climbs to No. 5.

Filling out the Top 10 are Tim McGraw's Greatest Hits, Toby Keith's Pull My Chain, Allan's Alright Guy, Martina McBride's Greatest Hits and Rascal Flatts.

Albums debuting this week are Jack Ingram's Electric at No. 34, Shannon Lawson's Chase the Sun at No. 35, Tift Merritt's Bramble Rose at No. 47 and Chris LeDoux's The Capitol Collection (1990-2000) at No. 72.
