Twain Tapped for CMA Performance

Shania Twain returns to the U.S. for a performance on the 36th annual CMA Awards. Toby Keith and Kenny Chesney are also on the first list of performers for the event at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. Twain’s appearance during the CBS broadcast marks her first network television performance since 1999. Her visit coincides with the release of her new album, Up! Twain, who has sold more than 50 million albums, has spent the past two years in Switzerland, where she lives with husband-producer Robert John “Mutt” Lange and their infant son, Eja. The awards show takes place Nov. 6. Vince Gill hosts the show for the 11th consecutive year. 09/12/02
