Wynette’s Daughters Make Donation

Tammy Wynette’s daughters will donate one of their mother’s stage costumes to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum during ceremonies Wednesday (Sept. 18) in downtown Nashville. The clothing will be presented to the Hall of Fame by Jackie Daly, Tina Jones, Gwen Nicholas and Georgette Smith. During the presentation, a brief musical tribute will be performed by Nicolette Hart and singer-songwriter Jim Lauderdale, who portray Wynette and George Jones in Stand by Your Man: The Tammy Wynette Story. The stage production begins another run at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Sept. 19. Wynette died April 6, 1998, and was inducted into Hall of Fame later that year. 09/17/02
