Martina McBride Works with Homeless

Martina McBride will be working with a Nashville homeless shelter as her volunteer project for USA Weekend’s Make a Difference Day. McBride is national spokesperson for the campaign that encourages American’s to give back to their communities. McBride’s project, Safe Haven, is Nashville’s only 24-hour shelter that keeps families intact while making the transition from homelessness to self-reliance. She is encouraging Nashville residents to donate children’s clothing, art and school supplies, household items and baby supplies to Safe Haven. McBride and her family will host an Oct. 26 Halloween party for the children of the shelter. 10/9/02
