Entertainers Involved in Nashville Antiwar March

Several entertainers opposed to a war with Iraq gathered Saturday (Oct. 26) in Nashville for the Music City March for Peace, an event that coincided with similar rallies in other American cities. Among the approximately 650 people participating in the event were Steppenwolf lead vocalist John Kay, former Desert Rose Band guitarist John Jorgenson, former Foster & Lloyd member Bill Lloyd and singer-songwriter David Olney. Don Henry, co-writer of Kathy Mattea’s 1989 hit, “Where’ve You Been,” sang for the protestors as they assembled for the mile-long trek to the Metro Court House. 10/28/02
