Rascal Flatts Top Country Albums Chart

Rascal Flatts’ second album, Melt, debuts this week at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums. In selling 169,000 copies during its first week of release, the trio ends Faith Hill’s two-week stint at the top of the country album charts with Cry. Melt also lands at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, a chart that tracks sales of all styles of music. Other albums debuting within the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 are new releases by Christina Aguilera and Nirvana, not to mention the soundtrack to Eminem’s film, 8 Mile. Rascal Flatts performed their current single, “These Days,” at Wednesday night’s (Nov. 6) CMA Awards show. 11/6/02
