Yoakam Brings Electrodisc to Audium

Dwight Yoakam is partnering with a Nashville-based record company for future projects on his own label, Electrodisc Records. Yoakam, who last year left the Warner Bros. Records artist roster, will be working with Audium Records. The move reunites Yoakam with Audium president Nick Hunter, who was an executive at Warner Bros./Reprise Records during the peak of Yoakam’s commercial success. Yoakam’s first album on the Electrodisc/Audium imprint will be released in spring 2003. Rhino Records last week released Reprise Please Baby: The Warner Bros. Years, a four-CD set highlighting Yoakam’s career thus far. As an actor, Yoakam is completing work on Hollywood Homicide, a film starring Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett. 11/20/02
