Tim McGraw Enjoys Landmark Sales Week

Tim McGraw has sold 601,745 copies of his new album to rack up the highest first-week sales of his career. However, the impressive retail performance of Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors still couldn’t push Shania Twain’s Up! from the top position of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and the all-genre Billboard 200. McGraw debuts at No. 2 on both charts. Faith Hill, McGraw’s wife, is at No. 7 on this week’s Billboard 200 with her latest album, Cry. McGraw says, “This is really an amazing week for country music. To have three albums on the Billboard 200 Top 10 during the most competitive sales week of the year is extraordinary. The fans, country radio, CMT and the country music industry should really be proud.” 12/4/02
