Tommy Shane Steiner Exits RCA

RCA Records has dropped newcomer Tommy Shane Steiner from its roster. “We have decided to part ways,” said RCA Label Group chairman Joe Galante in a statement prepared for CMT.com. “We wish [him] the best in building upon the success he began at RCA.” The young Texan made his debut early this year with “What If She’s an Angel,” a single that topped out at No. 2 in Billboard. His follow up singles fared poorly, however, with both “Tell Me Where It Hurts” and “What We’re Gonna Do About It” peaking at No. 43. His album, Then Came the Night, was released in April. 12/11/02
