Carter, McDonald Go Acoustic at CRS

Deana Carter and Lonestar’s Richie McDonald performed in the round with two of Nashville’s most accomplished songwriters in Nashville on Thursday (Feb. 20) during the Country Radio Seminar. Carter and McDonald offered songs coming up on future albums, including one McDonald wrote with Billy Dean titled “Let Them Be Little.” Jeffrey Steele roared through three recent hits he co-wrote: Rascal Flatts’ “These Days,” Trace Adkins’ “I’m Tryin’” and Montgomery Gentry’s “My Town.” Meanwhile, Craig Wiseman, the writer behind Kenny Chesney’s “Young” and “The Good Stuff,” and Tim McGraw’s “Where the Green Grass Grows” kept the audience in stitches. “Something tells me, if this were a movie, I wouldn’t be playing me,” he wisecracked.
