Singer-songwriter Joan Osborne is looking forward to expanding her audience as the opening act for the Dixie Chicks’ Top of the World tour that kicks off April 29 in Greenville, S.C. Best known for her 1995 hit, “One of Us,” she performed on Randy Scruggs’ 1998 album, Crown of Jewels. More recently, Osborne was featured in Standing in the Shadows of Motown, a film documentary about the Funk Brothers, the original session musicians at Motown Records. "I am a big admirer of the Chicks, musically and personally,” said Osborne. “My fans are really excited about the tour and so am I.
