McGraw’s Father Due for Surgery

Tim McGraw’s father, baseball star Tug McGraw, will undergo brain surgery on Tuesday morning (March 18) in Tampa, Fla. Tug McGraw’s family released a statement declaring that he suffers from two brain tumors. Responding to a report that the tumors are malignant, Dr. Steven Brem said results are “inconclusive.” Tug McGraw, whose pitching led the Philadelphia Phillies to a World Series victory in 1980, was in nearby Clearwater, Fla., for the team’s spring training. 03/17/03
