Mavericks Confirm Reunion

As previously reported in CMT.com’s Hot Talk, the Mavericks are reuniting. The new version of the band will consist of lead vocalist Raul Malo, bassist Robert Reynolds and drummer Paul Deakin. The group will appear together for the first time in three years during a May 2 performance at the Nashville River Stages music festival. The Mavericks will perform a handful of dates before embarking on a world tour in the fall. The band has also signed with Sanctuary Records, a New York-based label whose roster includes Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Allman Brothers Band and Widespread Panic. The Mavericks are planning their first studio album in six years. The project is targeted for release in September. 03/19/03
