Johnny Cash Resting at Home

Johnny Cash is resting at his Hendersonville, Tenn., home after being released from Nashville’s Baptist Hospital. Cash, who has been hospitalized frequently in recent years, was released Tuesday (April 1) after a three-week stay for pneumonia. In a report on Cash’s official Web site, longtime manager Lou Robin noted that the Country Music Hall of Fame member is doing well but added that Cash remains susceptible to pneumonia and that he will likely go through periods of hospitalization as a precaution. Robin also indicated that Cash is planning to record a new album. Cash will be honored for his five decades of musical contributions during the CMT Flameworthy 2003 Video Music Awards airing live Monday, April 7 at 8 p.m. ET on CMT. 04/03/03
