Strait’s New Album Arrives

George Strait released his 31st album, Honkytonkville, on Tuesday (June 10). For the first time, he recorded his vocals at his home in Texas instead of in a Nashville studio. “My career has been long, but it seems short,” Strait said. “I’ve had so many great things happen to me professionally that the saying ’Time flies when you’re having fun’ really rings true for me.” Co-produced by Strait and Tony Brown, the album includes the hit “Tell Me Something Bad About Tulsa.” Strait has sold 56 million albums since his 1981 debut, Strait Country. 06/10/03
