Stars in IMAX Film Donate $250,000

Rather than being paid for their performances in the upcoming IMAX film Our Country, a number of country stars donated their compensation to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Alabama’s Randy Owen, a longtime supporter of the hospital, and Colin Reed, the president and CEO of Gaylord Entertainment, will present a $250,000 check to St. Jude on Wednesday (June 25) during the film’s world premiere in Nashville. Among those featured in the film: Alabama, Sara Evans, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, Alison Krauss, Patty Loveless, Loretta Lynn, Martina McBride, Jo Dee Messina, Dolly Parton, Marty Stuart, Trisha Yearwood and Dwight Yoakam. 06/20/03
