Country Teams With R&B, Pop & Gospel

In an unprecedented partnership between the arenas of country, R&B, pop and gospel music, top recording artists from a variety of genres are lending their talents to two separate albums of songs inspired by DreamWork’s epic drama The Prince Of Egypt. Multi-platinum country artists, including Vince Gill, Reba Mcentire, Wynonna, Faith Hill, Alison Krauss, Randy Travis, Clint Black and Pam Tillis; and such platinum and multi-platinum R&B, pop and gospel artists as Boyz II Men, Kirk Franklin, Jars of Clay and DC Talk, among others, are recording songs for the innovative two-album project. The inspired-by albums are scheduled to come out in mid-fall 1998, preceding the December 18th opening of the film, and will present songs that are inspired by themes which coincide to the film’s story, including love, faith, freedom, deliverance and family. This marks the first time that two complete albums from different musical genres have been created in support of a film release. A separate soundtrack album featuring music from The Prince Of Egypt will also be released.
